100×100 cm, oil on canvas
This work tells about pain and hope, and about God who is with us always.
It captures moments of my life when I was down on the floor and couldn’t see a way out. I wasn’t alone, but I couldn’t see the help come, because my head was bent far too deep.
But I have learned that there is always a way out. God! I believe that He is close to us and answers our prayers at the right time.
The painting is full of pain; everything seems to be dead in the dried up desert. However, there are grey clouds in the distance heralding the upcoming storm, which at first increases the drama of painting, but also gives hope. Rain is coming! Everything turns green again…!
