„This painting is about pain and hope, and about how God is always with us. I put onto canvas the points in my life when I was on the floor and couldn't find a way out of the pain. I wasn't alone, but I couldn't see it because I had bowed my head so low.
However, I have learned that there is always a way out. God! I believe that He is close to us and answers our prayers in His own time.
The painting is full of pain, the desert is dried up, everything is dead. In the distance, grey clouds and the approaching storm can be seen... which at first increases the drama of the painting but also gives hope:
It's going to snow! Everything could turn green again ...!
