In earlier painting eras, the most renowned representatives of the palette knife patchy technique undoubtedly came from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist periods. The paintings of Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, and Alfred Sisley
I find plenty of inspiration there as well if I want to study the palette knife technique.
