Alfons Mucha (1860–1939) was a Czech poster artist, graphic designer, illustrator, painter, and creator of mass-produced printed graphics, considered one of the prominent representatives of Art Nouveau. He began his career as a self-taught artist.

Although his art is characterized by the snaking tendrils, stylized plant motifs, lush lines, and beautiful female figures typical of secessionism, he did not embrace the principles of art nouveau, instead aligning his views with symbolism. In his art, decorativeness is paired with anatomical precision.

My study painting was made based on his painting.
