Last week I was in Madrid for an awards gala and exhibition opening, the Tartget Prize.

The TARTGET Prize is an international painting competition held in Spain (Madrid), which consisted of 3 rounds. Thank God I made it to the final round, and my painting “Ode to Joy” was selected for the exhibition, and I even received a Michael Harding sponsorship award. For me, it was an honor and a great joy to be there, since the Ateneo de Madrid is an imposing venue with a long history, where I really wanted to exhibit (the Ateneo de Madrid was founded in 1835 under the patronage of Queen Regent Maria Cristina, with the aim of promoting culture to everyone), and the award was the icing on the cake.

The perfectly organized exhibition opening and the awards gala took place on June 5th at the Ateneo de Madrid. The finalist works were of exceptionally high quality, with artists entering from all over the world were, and I was the only Hungarian among the awardees.

It was an unforgettable experience!
