This further confirms that gicl\u00e9e is now accepted in the international art market. \r\n\r\nGicl\u00e9e art prints are the highest-quality printed products available today and are produced using state-of-the-art technology. However, gicl\u00e9e is not just a technique, but also a method of art production: the artist can create artworks\u2014either as unique pieces or in limited editions\u2014based on their computer graphics, digital photographs, or digitized reproductions of existing works.\r\nThe process of creating a gicl\u00e9e print is a collaborative effort between the artist and the printmaker, in which the artist oversees every detail of the process.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe term \u201dgicl\u00e9e print\u201d (a French word originally meaning \u201cto spatter\u201d) has now become synonymous with the most advanced inkjet printing technology.\r\n\r\nThe dream of producing copies of our works of such high quality that they are virtually indistinguishable from the originals has now become a reality.\r\n\r\nBuyers love limited-edition prints because, in addition to the signature, they are authenticated by a serial number. For this reason, they are willing to pay more even for a print by an unknown artist when they realize that the print will no longer be available for purchase one day.\r\n\r\nAn artist who self-publishes and sells their own prints can obviously reach a larger audience if they have the option to offer their works at a lower price. This way, they are not forced to lower the price of the original work\u2014and in fact, it does not devalue it at all! Copies from a limited edition series make the artwork increasingly well-known, so the value of the original also continues to rise. By skillfully combining size, materials, and the number of copies in a limited edition, you can create different versions of the same artwork tailored to a variety of budgets.\r\nWe can create a variety of products from our artists\u2019 images, ranging from postcards to stretched canvas prints\u2014not to mention the original artwork itself\u2014allowing you to offer these art pieces or gifts at a variety of sales points.\r\n\r\nAs with all painted, drawn, and printed artworks, the most important element of authentication for a gicl\u00e9e art print is the artist\u2019s handwritten signature. In the case of a series, the serial numbering of the copies is also an important element.\r\n\r\nA printed artwork may be produced as a single unique copy, or as a closed or open series. Copies from a closed series of a printed artwork shall be considered a single artwork if they are identical in the following respects:\r\n\u2022 The artist\u2019s name\n\u2022 The title of the work\n\u2022 The dimensions of the work\n\u2022 The material on which the print was made\n\u2022 The total number of copies (it is helpful to indicate the number of artist\u2019s proofs marked \u201cEA\u201d)\r\nThe most important element on the printed copies is the artist\u2019s signature, or a seal impression, dry stamp impression\u2014or possibly a combination of these\u2014used in its place.\r\n\r\nThe certificate serves as a letter of authentication for the artist\u2019s print. It contains details regarding limited editions and unique copies, as well as a statement from the artist and the publisher confirming that no more than the specified number of copies of the work will be produced. It also includes the date of the work\u2019s publication, which may be the date the proof was approved or the date the first copy was completed.\r\n\r\nWe maintain a registry of the individual copies in our unique and limited-edition print series. To ensure the authenticity of the certificates we issue, we must track all copies of each gicl\u00e9e edition and maintain continuous serial numbering. We handle the administrative aspects of publishing these artworks under the name Pigmenta Publishing. Each print receives an identification hologram label bearing the Pigmenta Publishing logo and its registration number. A duplicate of the label is affixed to the certificate, ensuring that the print and its corresponding certificate are linked through this paired label system.\r\nPigmenta Publishing\u2019s certificates are produced with special graphics that provide the same anti-counterfeiting protection used on banknotes.
