I just wanted to be a little better and do a little more year after year. First I started studying with my Master, then a few years later I made the website, then I started entering smaller competitions and accepting opportunities, and when I started to have smaller successes, I began to try bigger bites.

This American call for entries, announced by the company operating World Wide Art and Artavita, was quite a big bite. The company's profile includes publishing art books, organizing exhibitions, participating in major expos, and operating as an online gallery. The prize of the competition is that a single person is selected to be represented for free at the 2024 New York Art Expo.

The entry fee for the competition was minimal, so I figured I’d submit mine too, with the calm assurance of someone who has no chance of winning.

The shock hit me a few days ago when I received an email from them: „Dear Ruth! I am pleased to inform you that you are a winner of the latest Artavita contest with your paintings „Friendships,„ ”Politics,„ and ”Lost Eden.” Judging the competition was difficult as a great number of remarkable works were submitted. Out of a total of 1739 works entered by 641 artists, 125 artists were selected for the finals. As a winner, you are entitled to exhibit these three works without a participation fee in the pavilion of Artexpo New York from April 4-7, 2024. ..."

I honestly tell you that I cried. My Master Kálmán Gasztonyi's sentence came to my mind at my last solo exhibition: „Ruth, with these paintings like „Friendships” and „Politics”, you would hold your ground in any New York gallery.” And he was right! Back then, he already saw what I just took for kind words. Thank you, my Master!

[19

post-2379","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-projektek
["GET
