"Legacy is not leaving something for people, it's leaving something in people." - Peter Strople

I don't have kids yet, but I know how importatnt is to invest time in children. My parents taught me real values: how important it is to love each other, to do good to everyone, to respect each other, to help whoever we can. They have been taught how strong anchor is the faith and hope in our lives, that there is a God who is close to us.

One generation goes after another. My great-grandparents, my grandparents are already gone and my father too. My father inherited a book from his grandparents. There was a verse from the Bible with added explanation for every day. It was a tradition in my great-grandfather’s family, in my grandfather’s family, and in our family, that the family sat down and read from this book every day. My father’s legacy was this book but since He’s already gone, my mom reads it every day, sometimes me and my mom.

I used this book for the background of the painting . I canned, printed and glued it on canvas.

When I hold this book in my hands, I am always touched by something strange and wonderful. I think about my ancestors I never knew, who held it this book in their hands every day.

Time touches me… I feel the faith and hope they carried in their hearts.
