On February 8, 2020, with this painting I got in to an exhibition in New York that was organized by the People & Painting Gallery and there where a total of 20 paintings selected. I'm grateful for that. This painting is about pain and hope and about that God is always with us. This painting contains the points of my life when I was on the floor and I could not see the way out of pain. I wasn't alone ... but I didn't see it because my head was so bent down. …but I learned that there is always a way out. God. In the painting there is pain, desert, everything is dead. ... in the distance you can see the grey clouds and storms ... which at first increases the drama of the painting, but also give hope: It will rain! And everything can turn in green again...
