"This painting is about pain and hope, and how God is always with us.This painting is about points in my life when I was on the floor and couldn't see my way out of pain. I wasn't alone ... but I couldn't see because I had my head so low. ... but I learned that there is always a way out. God.In the painting there is pain, desert, everything is dead. ... in the distance you can see the grey clouds and the approaching storm ... which at first adds to the drama of the painting but also gives hope: it's going to rain! And everything will turn green again ..."
