I believe that God has placed very great and wonderful opportunities into marriage. It is up to us alone whether we make use of these opportunities. Can we put the other person before ourselves, or are we the ones who come first, do we have to be right during arguments? Are we working on unity, or does the „I„ dominate?
I have been married for 12 years, but I am still just learning the highs and the lows, learning to let go of things when His interests require it. I am learning to shut my mouth so that I don't hurt my husband. I am learning. What I do see, however, is that our marriage is being wonderfully built when both of us put our effort into it. We are efficient at work, our days off are wonderful. Our wings are truly there, but we can only use them by holding onto each other.
That is how we are made.
